Our App
Total body mapping
Total body mapping is the process of taking a set of standardised high quality images that map your entire skin surface. This enables computer assisted comparison of all your lesions. Whilst the computer does not diagnose, it readily identifies new and changed lesions for extra attention. This is important as it has been shown that these may be of concern, even if they look harmless on clinical examination. Consider Total Body Mapping as an added layer of security on top of your regular skin examination.
Total body mapping should be highly considered if you have a personal or family history of melanoma and/or skin cancer and have many moles or freckles. There may be other factors to consider, including age, skin type and sun exposure, which your doctor will discuss with you to ensure you have the best possible treatment.
This service is available to all patients as part of their skin examination baseline assessment.
